Welcome

Santa Catalina remains a "relatively undeveloped" rural panamanian community. There are aproximatley 10 small hostels or hotels, six restaurants and two dive shops. There are now two internet cafes, "La Buena Vida" being one of them. Coiba Dive Center now accepts credit cards, but is the ONLY business of it's kind. If you are planning on visiting Coiba National Park, which we highly recommend, plan accordingly with your $cash$. We are one hour from a bank, hospital, etc. Catalina remains a safe travel destination, a sleepy fishing/tourist town.
